As COVID-19 cases across the U.S. surge to their highest levels since the pandemic began and colder weather sets in, several governors are reinstating lockdown measures.
These lockdowns include some of the most draconian measures we saw earlier this year.
For instance, Washington state is banning wakes and funeral receptions. Oregon is banning indoor gatherings larger than six people from more than two people.
In at least one case, it's a mayor and not a governor who is laying down the law. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is telling residents in her city that they are not to allow anyone over their homes for Thanksgiving who don't already live in that home...including relatives living elsewhere.
There are no plans for any such lockdowns in Florida.
