4:05PM ET – Newt Gingrich, Fox News Contributor and Former Speaker of the House, is here to give us his perspective on the government shutdown, the short CR, the secret memo regarding FISA warrant abuse and the overwhelming amount of new text messages released between Strzok and Page, and others. Attorney General promises to get to the bottom of the text messages, including those that are ‘missing’.

The Justice Department’s inspector general is investigating why the FBI did not retain text messages for five months, including those exchanged by two senior officials involved in the probes of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said late Monday that he has spoken to Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz about the missing text messages and that “a review is already underway to ascertain what occurred” and determine whether the missing text messages can be recovered.

“We will leave no stone unturned to confirm with certainty why these text messages are not now available to be produced and will use every technology available to determine whether the missing messages are recoverable from another source,” Sessions said in a statement.

Horowitz could not be reached for comment. (h/t Washington Post)

4:30PM ET – Freedom Caucus Member Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio has been leading the charge to get to the bottom of the scandals surrounding and within our government. He wants the American public to see the memo that will expose the corruption of some of the highest arms of our government.

Republicans on and off the House Intelligence Committee are pushing for the release of Nunes’ four-page memo alleging abuses of the surveillance law known as FISA related to the opposition research dossier on Donald Trump and Russia. The committee could use an obscure rule to bypass the normal declassification process, with a vote that would put the decision to make the memo public in the President’s hands.

“It’s like any document you put out, it should be referenced, footnoted — it should have the appropriate underlying reference to the material and to the degree that you can, show that material,” said Rep. Jim Jordan, an Ohio Republican who has called for the firing of special counsel Robert Mueller and the resignation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

“I think the memo is accurate, but I think just because we know what the other side’s argument is going to be, you need that,” Jordan added. (h/t Fox News)

5:05PM ET – Bill Binney, Former Technical Director of the NSA World Geopolitical and Military Analysis and Reporting Group and Philip Haney, author of See Something, Say Nothing, and a founding member of the Department of Homeland Security talk about the missing text messages and what they can do to get the information off of the devices.

The Anniversary of Grant’s Murder was yesterday, the 22nd, as the Democrats shut down the government and benefits to American citizens to help illegals.

5:35PM ET – Steve Ronnebeck father of Grant Ronnebeck, a 21-year-old man who was murdered while working at a convenience store in Mesa, Ariz. Ronnebeck’s killer was an illegal alien who was released by ICE in 2013 after conviction for a burglary and kidnapping involving drug dealing. Ronnebeck took to social media this weekend to express just how hard it is to see elected officials of the United States protecting DACA recipients over American Citizens:

**YESTERDAY WAS THE 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF GRANT’S MURDER**

So I sit here reading about the government shutdown…….and all I think about is the 3 yr anniversary of Grant’s murder is Monday!!!!!! And as everyone remembers GRANT WAS MURDERED BY A DACA RECIPIENT!!!!!!!!!!! The monster that executed Grant in cold blood was a dreamer brought here when he was 14!!!!!! I have never once said all illegal immigrants are bad, but a lot of them are CRIMINALS!!!!!! I miss my son every single day, my family has been devastated and ripped apart!

So let me have my say and I’ll take the consequences………without a wall on the southern border and extreme tightening of security, arrests, and deportation of illegal aliens coming across the southern border, DACA is an issue that can be dealt with in March or even later in the year. YES DACA IS IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!! But again we need to stop the flow and importation of drugs, humans, illegal goods, and CRIMINALS AND PRIOR CONVICTED FELONS that have been previously deported.

Joining him is Jessica Vaughan, Director of Policy Studies at the Center for Immigration Studies.
