Traffic tickets in South Florida – where you’re most likely to get one
Bottom Line: The tallies have been totaled and the tickets all accounted for...yesterday The Florida Department of Highway Traffic and Safety Administration issued their annual report for 2018. All in there were no shortage of tickets being issued throughout South Florida.
According to the report there were (tickets issued by county)
- Broward: 276,585
- Miami-Dade: 700,437
- Palm Beach: 209,406
All in there were just under 3 million tickets issued throughout Florida (2,964,856). The tri-county accounted for nearly 1.2 million of them (1,186,428). In other words, 40% of all of Florida’s traffic citations happen in South Florida. There are 3,250 tickets per day issued on average. If you needed any motivation to behave on the roads – there you have it. If you don’t it’s almost a certainty that it’s only a matter of when they’ll be a ticket with your name on it.
