Police say a former Miami-Dade County school board member is facing charges after opening fire on police in Pembroke Pines.
81-year-old Solomon Stinson is said to have gotten in a dispute with a man over a parking spot outside the AMC movie theatre at Pembroke Lakes Mall.
He allegedly shot the back window of the man's car and drove away.
Police officers spotted him and followed his car, eventually leading to a shoot out between Stinson and police.
Officers say nobody was injured in the dispute, but they do say Stinson is being charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
Stinson served 14 years on the board before retiring in 2010.
