  • The University of Florida has announced a proposed $2.2 billion growth project over the next ten years. With a stated goal of becoming a top 5 public university they intend to expand and update the current campus, dorms, student facilities, etc.
  • Stoneman Douglas’s Kyle Kashuv had his Harvard acceptance rescinded based on leaked comments from two years ago that contained a racial epithet. Kyle was one of four Parkland students to gain acceptance to Harvard this year and the only one to have expressed conservative views.
  • Florida has received $5.1 million in grant money to help sure up election security efforts as the revelation that two counties had voter information accessed by outside entities in the previous election cycle.
  • President Trump kicks off his 2020 re-election bid in Orlando with a rally this evening. More than 100,000 requests for tickets were received for the 20,000-seat venue. Supporters were lined up outside of the venue as early as Monday morning, more than a day and a half in advance of the event.
  • The former Vice-Chair of the Palm Beach County Democratic party, Deandre Poole who led students through an exercise to write Jesus on a piece of paper and stomp on it while a professor at FAU, is running for Palm Beach County’s Supervisor of Elections
