  • FPL’s pushing back on the state’s regulators requesting FPL present additional justification for charging customers of their Solar powered plants more under their “Solar Together” program. FPL is currently in the process of rolling out twenty new solar power plants and charging customers more who enter the program voluntarily.By making the opt-in voluntary FPL is able to potential skirt regulators and that’s the current sticking point.
  • The Miami-Dade Expressway Authority is officially suing the state of Florida over the recently signed law to replace the agency. Included in the new law is a 10 year minimum freeze on toll increases
  • State reporting for SunPass shows that all billing issues do appear to be “fixed”. June was the first full month of normalized billing for SunPass after the year-long debacle with service provider Conduit’s software issues that impacted billing for many customers. Conduit was fined the maximum $8.3 million by the state
  • 21 of the 23 injured in the Plantation shopping center explosion on Saturday have been released from the hospital. The other two are in stable condition at last report. It’s still believed a gas leak was to blame.
