The National Hurricane Center's 5pm advisory has upgraded the status of the storm system to tropical depression #3.
The depression currently has maximum sustained winds of 30 mph and is not expected to gain further strength.
It is headed in a N-NW direction and the center will remain just east of the coast of Florida.
1 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected across the Bahamas and the east coast of Florida through Tuesday.
