The crackdown on illegal immigrants now targeting South Florida transportation hubs. Federal immigration agents are now asking people for papers as they board Greyhound buses. Immigration attorney Tammy Fox-Isicoff says we are going down a dangerous slope now that Florida police officers are being deputized to stop and question people about their status. She predicts this will take a huge toll on tourism here. Greyhound says it does not get a heads up on any checks from Customs and Border Patrol, but as a regulated carrier it has to comply with the feds. It's now providing customers with a bilingual "Know Your Rights" packet.
