- AG Ashley Moody has indicated the state will challenge the ALL Voter Vote backed open primaries proposed constitutional amendment before the Florida Supreme Court. Ashley said the language is too vague and could be misleading to voters.
- Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried outlined new burn rules for Florida’s sugar industry. Under the new rules, controlled burns will have a shorter window in which they may occur and provide restrictions for foggy, dry and windy days.
- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is visiting Weston Thursday along with a contingent of South Florida Democrats to meet with Venezuelan exiles as TPS protections for Venezuelan exiles are considered.
- More than 2,000 people showed up in Naples Tuesday for the funnel of Edward Pearson. The 80-year old Army veteran died without any surviving family members. His obit which said this veteran has no immediate family and all are welcome to attend gained national attention leading to the extremely well attended funeral.
- Two Broward teachers have been banned from teaching for at least the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year after physical altercations with two special needs students in separate instances. The incidents happened at Olsen Middle School and Tradewinds Elementary.
