  • Red tide has reemerged off the Collier County coast according to testing by the Florida, Fish and Wildlife foundation. Red tide is a naturally occurring event – unlike the toxic blue green algae, though it’s impact to nature is similar. 
  • Fort Lauderdale officials have set October 18th as the target date to reopen Las Olas at A1A which has been closed off to traffic since construction began in July for the new Las Olas Beach Park which is expected to open next year
  • The newly created Lake Worth Beach, which excludes Unincorporated Lake Worth is reporting significant declines in crime according to PBSO. In communication with the Palm Beach Post, declines of 16% occurred in 2017, 24% in 2018 and 10% in the first half of 2019.
  • The cost to underground power lines throughout Florida will likely average more than $2,000 per customer in surcharges as the under-grounding occurs.
