  • Donald Trump Jr. & Kimberly Guilfoyle spoke for 24 minutes each on a variety of issues at UF, with politics of the day the most common theme. There were mixes of protester chants and pro-Trump/USA chants throughout.Despite the backlash by some students and threats to attempt to shut down the event, no significant issues or arrests have been reported.
  • The Aspen Institute has released a report documenting data collection on students in Florida's schools as part the Florida Schools Safety Portal created by the DeSantis Administration this year as a means of attempting to identify potential problem students who may become violent. Under the Safety Portal video footage, grades, disciplinary issues and teacher memos voicing concerns about students are collected and kept in ongoing files.
  • 13 additional lung injury vaping cases have been reported this week in Florida. The total now stands at 52 documented in our state. 70% of the cases involve males and 30% females.
