- Visit Florida rolled out a new website dedicated to veterans and their families. The site www.visitflorida.com/military, aggregates the state’s memorials, museums and exhibits dedicated to veterans. It also includes military discounts to popular Florida destinations and resources provided by the state for military families.
- The Public Interest Legal Foundation discovered 24,000 registered voters that may be invalid, in Palm Beach County alone, due to registrations in multiple states, double voting, dead voters and non-citizens.
- Two Florida counties rank among the most expensive destinations for vacation, or second homes nationally. Monroe is #5 with an average price over $477,000 and Collier is 11th with prices averaging $334,000. Nantucket is first nationally with an average price of $1 million.
- FEMA has delayed any significant changes to its flood map until October of 2021. The changes would have, and will, impact Floridians more than any other state. The changes impact flood zones and the cost of flood insurance when altering flood risk.
