Bottom Line: In today's third story breaking down the employment report we'll look at the fun stuff...how much more money we're making. The average hourly wage for all Americans is currently $28.29. With an average work week of 34.4 hours, the average income is now $50,605. That’s $152 more than just a month ago and a new record high income for the average full-time employed Americans!
Here are the details:
- Earnings +7 cents over last month
- +3.1% year over year
- Average person is earning $1,681 more than a year ago
This is great news any way you slice it. Record high incomes. Income growth that’s accelerating. Incomes growing about 50% higher than inflation meaning that the average American’s quality of life is consistently improving. This is what happens when you have a great economy with near record low unemployment. Record opportunity, record income, improved quality of life – you name it. It’s hard to overstate how truly impressive this economy and this jobs market is. Economists, media types, politicos, etc.have tried to talk this economy down.We were told what’s happening right now wasn’t even possible. As long President Trump remains president – it won’t matter. Undeterred he continues pulling every lever available to him to improve opportunity and the economy in the United States. There are two sides to stories and one side to facts. The results speak for themselves. And as for the politics, it’s hard for me to imagine why anyone would vote against the interest of their quality of life and that of their family. As Representative Al Green stated awhile back. If we don’t impeach President Trump he’ll win again. Indeed, because he has truly made the US economy great again.
