School Stops Bringing In Foreign Students Amid Coronavirus Concerns

A private school has suspended its program that brings students from other countries to campus, over concerns about the Coronavirus.

Classrooms at Jupiter Christian School were deep cleaned overnight, before students returned on Thursday, after parents complained that they were given late notice about a kid from China who was visiting for the week.

The parents, concerned about the Coronavirus, said they wanted more time to decide whether to keep their kids home.

The epicenter of the potentially deadly illness is a city in China and cases have grown into the thousands, while the death toll has climbed to 170.

The president of Jupiter Christian School sent an email to parents on Wednesday night that said the school would be ending the shadow program, effective immediately.
