Is today the day the impeachment trial of President Trump ends? Will he ride into next week’s State of The Union address acquitted of both impeachment articles and on back of the China Trade Deal and USMCA? Here’s what we do know. President Trump’s approval ratings are near the high point for his Presidency right now. The economy is churning out record jobs and wages, while President Trump’s approval ratings among likely voters stand at 50% - the same as President Obama on the same date in his presidency. Talk about traveling down different paths to get there.
As usual, the more informed and engaged people are, the more likely they are to approve of President Trump.

What you never hear reported are the ratings of the Democratic leaders opposing him. Here’s the latest...
- Pelosi: 41%
- Schumer: 31%
A couple of interesting takeaways...With the impeachment having come to fruition, Democrats seem to have rallied around their leadership to a certain extent. While still trailing President Trump’s approval ratings, considerably in the case of Schumer, both Democrats are higher this week and at their highest approval ratings in the current Congress. Having given the Democrat base the impeachment they wanted seems to have worked for leadership in that regard.
