The end of impeachment will pave the path for John Durham

Bottom Line: Something largely ignored in recent weeks, and based on where you get your information, altogether to this point – is what’s up with John Durham. Specifically, his criminal investigation into the illegal activities that led to the fraudulent Trump-Russia narrative and what created the actual premise for the Democrat’s impeachment effort. As, I’ve stated from day one of Pelosi’s September announcement of the impeachment inquiry, this was never an impeachment about a whistleblower who wasn’t a witness to a crime that was never actually committed. It absolutely is about the attempted coverup of corruption of numerous actors inside and outside of government during the 2016 election cycle. It’s a coverup that I’ve also mentioned will be uncovered and prosecuted by Special Prosecutor John Durham and the Justice Department under AG Bill Barr.

While the impeachment in the House and trial in the Senate sucked all of the oxygen out-of-the room, Michael Horwitz's IG report confirmed the impropriety during the 2016 cycle. Meanwhile, John Durham has been diligently working behind the scenes towards indictments. Just last week a new Criminal Chief Division leader for the investigation, Sarah Karwan was brought onboard. Sarah has been a lead prosecutor as a US Attorney since 2007, and most recently has been the District Chief of Major Crimes. This is a notable development indicating additional groundwork being laid for what comes next. There are two differences between the Muller investigation and the Durham investigation.

First, the way the news media covered the Mueller investigation breathlessly and the non-stop drum beating of Trump-Russia collusion (compared to ignoring what’s going on with the current investigation into the conspirators who laid the groundwork for the fraud and attempted coup of President Trump). Second, there never was Trump-Russia collusion. There were numerous crimes to create the narrative. Accountability is coming. And that’s what comes next after impeachment. You’ll soon know what John Durham is doing whether the news media wants to cover his investigation or not.
