- The Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach metro is currently the 15th hottest job market in the country according to the Moody’s analytics annual report. That’s an improvement over last year. The Orlando-Kissimmee market is the 8th hottest in the country right now.
- Movers in Monday’s session included expanded school vouchers and sentencing reform for convicted criminals.
- Florida’s Surgeon General, Dr. Scott Rivkees, has put an incident management team in place to respond to the threat of coronavirus in all 67 counties.
- The Miami Herald ran an Op-Ed entitled: Move to Colorado, Floridians. We respect, protect LGBTQ — and everyone else. This after the Herald’s false reporting on the Public Charge rules for four days running. Perhaps the Herald should move to Colorado?
- Numerous Florida Democrats renounced the comments of Bernie Sanders in his 60 minutes interview in which he defended some of Fidel Castro’s policy in Cuba.
- Florida’s latest invasive species warning is about monkeys.According to a study from the University of Florida, Florida’s Silver River monkey population is estimated to double by 2022. Half of the monkeys are infected with Hepatitis B. The monkeys are native to Asia and six were originally brought to Ocala for a river cruise operator.
