Just 23 days after South Florida hosts the Super Bowl another MAJOR sporting event announces it's coming here next year. The next World Baseball Classic will be held a Marlins Stadium next March. Miami Marlins CEO Derek Jeter -who represented the United States in 2 Classics himself-is thrilled to host the international tournament, bringing 20 teams together from all over the world. Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez says it's a home run for the community. Miami has hosted the Classic 4 times before, the last time was in 2017.
