Ft. Lauderdale Commissioners holding a virtual workshop this afternoon to discuss reopening plans. Vice Mayor Steven Glassman has come up with a "Relaunch Lauderdale" plan to get the ball rolling, since Ft. Lauderdale has met all 5 criteria established by the CDC for reopening. His plan would initially allow the beaches to reopen 3 days per week for exercise only and if that goes well he would like to expand on that after Memorial Day weekend. Broward is the only county that has not yet set a reopening date. Palm Beach started phase 1 of reopening today, Miami-Dade plans to open restaurants-salons and other small businesses next Monday.
