Q&A of the Day – Protesters say Jesus is a symbol of white supremacy

Each day I’ll feature a listener question that’s been submitted by one of these methods.

Today’s entry: Say what? Now the protesters are after Jesus!!! Where does this stop? I thought you were kidding when you said it but when I looked it up I saw you weren’t. These people are crazy!

Bottom Line: It stops when we, as a society, stop placating the perpetrators of the cancel culture and allowing radicalism to permeate every aspect of society from the classroom to our elected leaders. Now, for those might not be aware of what this is about, on Monday, Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King Tweeted this:

Yes I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down. They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been. In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide, and blend in, guess where they went? EGYPT! Not Demark. Tear them down. White Jesus is a lie and a tool of white supremacy created to help white people use Christianity as a tool of oppression.

Yes, now they’re coming for Jesus. It wasn’t that big of a step after we saw George Washington fall in Portland over the weekend was it? It also was highly predictable. A couple of weeks ago, I took the time to outline what Black Lives Matter stands for since mainstream news media hasn’t. Once again, coming directly from their website:

  • We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead.
  • We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege
  • We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered.
  • We practice empathy. We engage comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts.
  • We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children
  • We foster a queer‐affirming network.

While the organization uses race as the front to provide cover for their overall agenda, which is clearly not centered on racial equality,it’s clear that they’re a homosexual activist organization, a feminist organization,a Marxist organization and one which needs to eradicate religious establishments. This is all something I laid out weeks ago yet because it’s placated, even seemingly supported by most news media, along with many corporations...It’s all part of a carefully crafted plot which had been years in the making waiting for an opportunity to strike. Despite there still being no evidence of race being a motivating factor in the death of George Floyd, look how they were able to exploit the perceived opportunity to create protests in all 50 states and, successfully disrupt and began to defund police departments across the country, tear down statues and monuments nationwide up to and including George Washington...so yeah. Now Jesus. Why not? It’s part of their plan. The question is whether society will finally say enough is enough? Much like the protests, many of which were illegally assembled even when not violent, you’ll care when it’s at your doorstep. But by then it’s too late. Same when it now comes to depictions of Jesus. If it wasn’t enough for you to care when it was George Washington, does Jesus cause you to care enough to stand against this movement?

It’s not my intent to sound as though you specifically are the problem. By simply listening to me, at a minimum, you’re helping me have a voice to speak truth to these issues...but clearly that alone is far from enough to stop this. Research has shown a solid majority of the country is supportive of our police and if we had data on Washington monuments and Jesus, I’d suspect most would oppose what the protesters are doing, but they’re being allowed to do it, right? There are two prominent reasons. Voting for leaders, especially at the local level, who allow this to occur in their communities and political correctness whereby you might disagree – even be offended by what you’re seeing, hearing, being presented with and say nothing. Your silence is used against you. We all need to vote for leaders who will protect our communities, represent our interests and not cave to political correctness. Otherwise, anything and anyone you might value, including Jesus could be in the crosshairs of these operatives.
