Broward County Beaches Now Closed 4th of July Weekend

The South Florida Sun Sentinel is reporting that Broward Mayor Dale V.C. Holness is confirming Broward County’s beaches will be closed for the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend. They will join Miami-Dade in shutting down beaches for Independence Day.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez signed an emergency order on Friday to close beaches starting Friday, July 3, and ending Tuesday, July 7.

This comes afer Florida saw daily record high new cases of coronavirus last week.

Broward County officials will hold a press conference Sunday afternoon to offer more details.
