- Today will be the final day of testimony in the Florida Education Association’s lawsuit attempting to prevent any classroom education in Florida for the foreseeable future. Judge Charles Dodson is expect to issue a ruling next week. 13 Florida school districts are currently offering classroom education – twelve are concluding their 2nd week.
- Florida posted another day of around 4,500 COVID-19 cases dropping the weekly average to its lowest level since June 25th. Florida’s positivity rate also dropped below 7% yesterday and is the lowest since early June. Florida has dropped to third in total cases with Texas passing our state yesterday. Related
- Harvard research suggests Florida is nearly out of the COVID-19 danger zone based on recent progress they’ve studied.
- The Florida Keys Mosquito Control District has approved a plan to release to release genetically modified mosquitoes in the Keys in 2021. The plan calls for millions of Oxitec created male mosquitoes to be released in the keys in an attempt to “breed out” the species.
