- With just over 8,000 new COVID-19 cases reported Monday, Florida had its fewest daily reported cases since December 27th and our seven-day average has dropped below 13,000 for the first time since January 2nd. Related...
- According to the CDC, Florida continues to lead the US in identified COVID cases involving the more contagious variant which was first identified in England, though the total remains low with just 46 identified cases, the variant has been identified in 20 states.
- More than a million Floridians have been vaccinated with at least one dose for COVID-19. According to the Florida Department of Health, 1,031,795 people have received a first dose with 93,258 who’ve completed both doses. According to FDOH estimates, approximately 3 million Floridians who’re eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine in Phase 1 want one.
- With President Trump set to arrive at Palm Beach International at 11 tomorrow morning, just prior to Joe Biden’s swearing in as President, increased security measures are being taken locally as well. The Town of Palm Beach put out a letter explaining road closures around Mar-a-Lago will remain in place for an indeterminate amount of time. The first family will retain a limited, permanent, Secret Service detail.
