Top Three Takeaways – April 9th, 2021

  1. That was easy. Yesterday I received the front-end of the Moderna vaccine at Publix. The experience couldn’t have been any more smooth or easy. Also, zero side effects or even so much as a mark. My point in mentioning is this. If you’ve been on the fence about doing it, I’m here to encourage you. I’m someone who usually places emphasis on good hygiene and a healthy immune system over vaccinations – I've only ever received two flu vaccines previously, but studied the facts and concluded this made sense. I’m not trying to pressure you – nor do I think anyone should. I also don’t believe it’s anyone else’s business but yours regarding what your decision is...but that being said, if my experience and my perspective can be useful, I wanted to share it.
  2. What’s there to hide? Question for you. In general, do you feel it’s appropriate that if we’re to error, we error of the side of life or death? Is that a hard question to answer? Is it controversial for me to ask? Now, there’s a chance you already know where I’m going with this. In case you don’t. How is on-demand abortion justified? If there’s an error being made is abortion erroring on the side of life or death? Now, the timing of this message isn’t random and in my view the time to save another life would always be right now if it’s possible – so no apologies if this topic makes you uncomfortable. That’s a good thing. The uncomfortable feeling is your conscience telling you how our society has been erroring on this issue for far too long. Yesterday an Obama appointed judge permanently banned hours of Planned Parenthood footage recorded from the National Abortion Federation trade show (yes there is such a thing) where they discuss the selling of baby parts, or if you makes you more comfortable – fetal tissue. Why? What’s there to hide? It’s no different than when legislation is attempted which would inform girls/women of what will happen during an abortion. It’s the one time medically the establishment tells you should stay completely in the dark. Why is that? What’s there to hide?
  3. Cruising for a bruising? Yesterday, a day removed from having put the smackdown on fake news CBS News/60 Minutes, Florida’s wannabe governor Nikki Fried and swarmist politician, Charlie Crist - the governor came back for another fight. Quoting him: On behalf of the tens of thousands of Floridians whose livelihoods depends on the viability of an open cruise industry, today Florida’s fighting back. We don’t believe the federal government has the right to mothball a major industry for over a year, based on very little evidence and very little data. Now here’s the thing. I’m not sure cruising is the best idea running. I’m also not a natural fan because it’s simply not the way I prefer to travel. But I also know abuse of power when I see it and have long wondered exactly what DeSantis addressed yesterday. Who the heck is the CDC to order an industry dead until they state otherwise? An unelected body of scientists in Atlanta? Even if there’s validity to their reasoning – they still shouldn’t retain any authority because they aren’t Constitutionally presented with it. And herein lies the issue with these never-ending emergency declarations. We need to start having the conversation about ending the pandemic. And by that I mean ending the emergency declarations. The CDC has abused authority like most government agencies because they theoretically can. Good for Florida to force the issue on the cruise industry. The CDC’s position is indefensible if the Constitution hasn’t been yet been canceled but so too are the seemingly endless efforts of others.
