The Boynton Beach Police Department is hosting its first "Kids, Cops & Cones" event, aimed at helping to build relationships between police officers and the community.
Kids can get a free small ice cream at The Boardwalk Italian Ice and Creamery at 209 North Federal Highway from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, while interacting with members of the department.
There will also be police vehicles on display and giveaways.
