Top Three Takeaways – July 15th, 2021

  1. Two Wrongs Don’t Make A Right. The shutting down of the Palmetto. The Shutting down of I-95. The efforts to repeat it. It’s all wrong. While hearts and words are in the right place in support of Cuban freedom, these actions are all wrong. There’s irony in demonstrating for freedom by denying other people theirs. By shutting things down, by denying others access, no one is gaining freedom – quite the opposite. Like all things in life, there’s a right and a wrong way to do things. And using a form of oppression to make a statement regarding oppression is beneath those seeking to end Marxist rule in Cuba. Speaking of Marxists, local officials across the state have no one to blame but themselves for what happened Tuesday and was attempted Wednesday on Florida’s streets. Ironically it was Black Lives Matter, founded on Marxism, which paved the path for what we’ve seen this week. Had local governments not caved to political correctness and enforced the law against the unlawful assemblies of the Marxist Black Lives Matters protests, as they shut down Florida’s through fares last year, we’d not have these problems this year. But for all who otherwise are attempting to compare to two movements...
  2. Stop lying. Fact. Black Lives Matter was founded on Marxism. Fact. Cubans seeking freedom are actually living under it. Much of your news media which dishonestly covered last summer's Black Lives Matter riots in South Florida, suggesting they were peaceful protests, are now attempting to conflate the two types of demonstrations. Florida’s HB1, or anti-riot legislation, was indeed inspired by actual riots. As those of us who lived and worked through the riots know, dozens of businesses in South Florida were looted and defaced, violence was rampant and many of us were warned by authorities that it wasn’t safe to leave our homes. What may have been peaceful protests by day were violent riots by night. Don’t treat us as though we’re stupid and enough with the lying. The pro-freedom Cuban demonstrators may have unlawfully assembled but they most certainly didn’t riot. It’s illustrative of the difference between a movement based on Marxism vs one attempting to end it.
  3. Don’t Fauci My Florida. What was funny yesterday, when I first reported on Governor DeSantis’s instant classic campaign merchandise, is outright hilarious today. As awesome as a don’t Fauci My Florida shirt is, it pales in comparison to the godless, soulless and slanderous news media outlets losing their minds over it. There's this one... As Covid cases rise in Florida, Governor DeSantis digs at Fauci with merchandise and this one, DeSantis Hawks Tacky ‘Don’t Fauci My Florida’ Merch as Cases Spike in Florida I’M WITH STUPID, and my favorite: Ron DeSantis' Anti-Fauci Florida Merchandise Prompts Outrage: 'This Is Madness'. You can almost hear the combination of angst, distain and fear emanating from the keyboards of these lockdown loving, fearmongering, Fauci worshipping trolls in news media. It’s just awesome. And btw, what’s not “madness” according to these venerable news outlets? Three-year old's being forced to wear masks. In case you missed it that was Fauci’s latest. Not kidding. So yeah, how about don’t Fauci my Florida or my kid.
