Top Three Takeaways – October 4th, 2021
- Floridians reject Joe Biden. You might have noticed the news media has gone quite regarding DeSantis’s polling numbers of late and you can probably guess why. Yes, he’s showing sizable leads over Florida’s original Orangeman, Charlie Crist and the Fort Lauderdale attorney masquerading as Florida’s Agriculture Commissioner, Nikki Fried. But polling numbers from an election that’s 13 months away isn’t what I’m currently most interested in. The contextual polling questions are the far more telling in real-time. As Democrats in Washington are attempting to radically and permanently change the structure of our society for all-time and Biden’s still pushing his vax or (have your career) die plan – the hit ad recently released by Florida’s one-time beach going grim reaper isn’t the only production backfiring spectacularly in our state. Pretty much everything Joe Biden’s about is being soundly rejected by Floridians. Consider, by a margin of 54%-43% Floridians reject Biden’s vax mandate. And 61% of Floridians think he’s failing at all of these issues...controlling inflation, combating crime, addressing healthcare costs. Contextual questions weren’t asked regarding Biden’s border crisis or Afghanistan but with huge majorities rejecting him on all of the other issues, one would likely be safe to imagine where the bulk of Floridians would come down on his handling of those key concerns. Simply put, Floridians reject Joe Biden and seemingly everything he stands for and while it’s encouraging that so many of us have our eyes open...more importantly right now...
- Congress continues to reject Joe Biden. The best news out of Washington is no news. And as of this morning that remains the case. Shocking as it may be that Joe Biden’s dramatic visit to Capitol Hill on Friday didn’t result in Democrats bowing down before him and his wishes... Here we sit with no deals on anything in Congress. There’s part of me that thinks Nancy Pelosi invited Biden to Capitol Hill so she could get the stink of failure off of her and onto Biden. As for what actually happened during that visit... The same as what you see the rest of the time. An ineffective feckless leader who’s led around by his handlers. Coined a “nothing-burger” by one attendee, the meeting evidently took on a familiar theme. After saying stuff that went nowhere, he asked if anyone had questions... His staff stopped him and whisked him away from the room. Upon leaving he grabbed Pelosi's hand to hold. I’m thinking she went along with it to help ensure as much of the stench of failure as possible was transferred to him. Congress, thankfully, is rejecting Biden both behind the scenes and in the light of day. Even if the republic is hanging on by about a Manchin...as for Biden’s agenda, let’s hope it’s going down and Pelosi's left yelling...
- Timber. Speaking of which...I’m not a fan of profanity but if it’s going to be used, I can’t envision a more appropriate way than what Pitbull had to say at a recent concert. Quoting South Florida’s own first generation Cuban-American, Mr. Worldwide... To whoever the f--- doesn't like the United States of America, may God bless you, but f--- you at the same time. If you don't like the United States of America, go back to the countries that we the f--- from, and you'll see how much you appreciate the United States of America. Amen brother, amen. I’ve long said South Florida would one day save this country from itself. Pitbull’s part of the puzzle. So are you & that’s why we all need to be rooting for Biden’s agenda to go down with Pelosi yelling Timber while holding Biden’s hand.
