Palm Beach County may use eminent domain to purchase homes and other properties along a stretch of Royal Palm Beach Boulevard in order to take it from two lanes to five lanes.
Some homeowners are upset about the proposal to buy the 45 properties through eminent domain.
The area is between the M Canal and south of Orange Boulevard in the Loxahatchee area.
County Commissioners are expected to vote on the plan during Tuesday's Commission meeting.
If approved, construction could begin as soon as next year.
