Absurdities: Trump Trial, Illegal Immigrant Healthcare & A Ceasefire? - Top 3 Takeaways – May 7th, 2024
- It’s so absurd. There are so many absurdities going around these days that it’s hard to keep up. Absurd to support terrorists over innocent people? Yep. Absurd that the Biden administration is attempting to force you to pay for the healthcare of illegal immigrants in addition to your own? Yep (more about that one in a moment). Absurd for Marjorie Taylor Greene to attempt to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson after having already been part of the contingent to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and within six months of the election? Yep. Absurd that the former and perhaps future President of the United States is into the fourth week of a trial over the documentation of a $130,000 non-disclosure agreement made in 2016? Yep. Absurd that the judge overseeing the trial is a Joe Biden donor? Yep. Absurd that the Biden donor judge issued a gag order against the former and perhaps future President of the United States while in the middle of a presidential election campaign? Yep. The only thing more absurd at this stage of the trial is what the Biden donor judge further emphasized he may do on Monday when holding Trump in contempt of court for violations of gag orders again. Quoting the judge: (Trump is) hereby put on notice that if appropriate and warranted, future violations of its lawful orders will be punishable by incarceration. The judge issued a similar threat the first time, but issued a stronger worded one this time, while noting that the maximum $1,000 fine per offense allowed under law didn’t seem to be deterring Trump from talking. It’s a notion that’s so absurd that who knows he just may try to make it happen. I say try because there’s no guarantee that the Secret Service would go along with that one. Something seldom discussed in these matters is that jailing Donald Trump also means effectively jailing his Secret Service detail as well. If push comes to shove, they may not choose to play ball with a matter of such minor real-world consequence in a patently absurd case with a conflicted judge. Should that happen, this case could turn into one with constitutional implications. The question now is whether Trump decides to try to push his buttons. If he violates the gag order again it’s not because he can’t control himself, it’s because he’s choosing to violate the gag order because, as he’s stated, he believes the absurd gag order placed on him in this absurd case is unconstitutional and he’s looking to prove his point. Everything associated with this case is so absurd almost anything may happen. We should have our answer about what Trump’s chosen path forward is by what he does or doesn’t say today. As for another absurdity...
- Illegal healthcare. I know what you woke up thinking this morning. The only thing better than an open border allowing seemingly endless streams of illegal immigrants into this country, in addition of course to those that the Biden administration just directly flies into this country from all over the world, would be if we started paying for healthcare for them too. Ok, so probably not. But on Friday that’s what the Biden administration woke up thinking and the plan was put into motion for an estimated 100,000 illegal immigrants that were part of the DACA program. The program which most recently a federal court invalidated. In today’s Q&A I’ll get into the nuts and bolts of the proposal and the plan but the bottom line is this. Already the hard cost to every federal taxpayer to subsize the Biden administration's illegal immigration operation was $1,156 per year, should the Biden administration's announced rule change to ACA, aka Obamacare plans go through as proposed on November 1st, the minimum additional cost would be about $593 million annually in today’s dollars. That by the way, would be on top of the $566 million Floridians already are paying annually for healthcare costs associated with illegal immigrants who use healthcare services but that never pay for them. What could be better than not only paying for your family’s healthcare, but paying for that of the illegal immigrants allowed into this country and brought into our state by the Biden administration and then paying for health insurance for DACA recipients too?
- A cease fire preceding the destruction of Hamas? Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it. Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution. There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. Know what those words are? They’re directly from Hamas’ charter. Their stated objective is the destruction of Israel, and they openly say that Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. So, when Hamas announces they’ve agreed to a cease-fire brokered by Egypt and Quatar what does that tell you? It would appear to be pretty clear that A) the terms are favorable for the terrorists and that B) Israel really might be on the brink of destroying Hamas if they move forward with the attack on the terrorists in Rafa. The announcement is no doubt further aimed to put pressure on Israel to cave to the demands of the Biden administration and other weak kneed political leaders around the world. But here’s what we know. As long as Hamas survives as a body, they see Jihad as the only solution. This means any ceasefire agreement is only meant to further that cause. If the US got out of the way and Netanyahu was allowed to do what he’s prepared to do this war would likely already be over and the world a slightly safer place as a result. Any world that includes Hamas in it isn’t better off for it and that’s why a cease fire preceding the destruction of Hamas makes no sense – except perhaps politically for President Biden.
