How Low Can Democrats Go? & It’s Time to Finish the Wall – Top 3 Takeaways

How Low Can Democrats Go? & It’s Time to Finish the Wall – Top 3 Takeaways – March 18th, 2025

Takeaway #1: How low can Democrats go?

I know. That’s a loaded question. After all a party that has championed child tranny’s and mutilations, aka “transitioning” and the outright elimination of children via abortion on demand policies would seemingly have already gone as low as it could go. But I’m not talking about the Democrat Party’s pro Tren De Aragua policies but rather how low our perception of the Democrat Party could go. Here’s a headline from The Hill: Democratic Party’s favorability hits record low... Which means that the average American has far more sense, and for that matter morality, than your average Democrat politician. Anyway, the story cites the latest CNN poll which found the following: 54% of adults have an unfavorable opinion of the Democrat Party compared to only 29% who still view the unholy entity favorably. That's a net negative favorability rating of 25%... Yikes. What’s more is that it’s only gotten much worse since Donald Trump became president. In the same CNN poll, on Inauguration Day, Democrats had a negative 15% score – which means that during the first two months of the Trump administration they’ve managed to lose the support of 10% more. But that wasn’t all because NBC News, in their latest poll also found that Democrats are at a record low with an even worse 27% favorability rating. Quoting NBC News: Just over a quarter of registered voters (27%) say they have positive views of the party, which is the party’s lowest positive rating in NBC News polling dating back to 1990. Just 7% say those views are “very” positive. “With these numbers, the Democratic Party is not in need of a rebrand. It needs to be rebooted,” said Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt. This is but the latest confirmation of two things. 1) The pendulum hasn’t just swung back from the land of DEI and related Democrat insanity; it’s still in full swing 2) People are paying attention and the traditional news media’s efforts to prop the left up and to tear Trump & co. down continue to fail. As I mentioned in my top three takeaways following President Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress...

Takeaway #2: Which America represents you?

<<One of the great ironies of last night’s address happened before the start of the address. Democrat Melanie Stansbury held a sign next to President Trump as he entered the chamber that said... “This is not normal”. This from a woman who supports open borders, abortion on demand, and transgendered men pretending to women competing against girls (among other things). Perhaps the “This” she was referring to was herself. Perhaps it was what was to come with side show Al Green who had to be ousted from the chamber during Trump’s speech. Or maybe it was about her entire party as was about to be seen given their abhorrent conduct throughout the entirety of Trump’s address. Democrats made it clear that they don’t support tax cuts. Democrats don’t support combating drug cartels. Democrats don’t support closing the border. Democrats didn’t even express support for peace. And just how petty are the elected Democrats who were present in that chamber? Democrats wouldn't even stand for Laken Riley’s family.>> And that is effectively where we now are in this country. In the place where just about the only people left in our society who look at the average elected Democrat and think – yeah give me some more of that sweet political action are the people who actually think that using tax dollars to create and perpetuate transgender Peruvian comic book heroes is a good idea. And while that’s a freaky place to be if you happen to be in their company, it’s great news for our country and the direction that we’re headed. Speaking of which...

Takeaway #3: It’s time to finish the wall

While at the southern border Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced that the Trump administration is ready to finish what it started with southern border wall construction that was stopped on day 1 of the Biden administration. The first piece is a 7-mile stretch in Arizona that was under construction at the time that ‘Ole Joe ended construction of the wall while also opening our borders. While it’s great to see that the Trump administration is intent on finishing what it started – the key to actually finishing the southern border wall will be what’s in Trump’s desired “big, beautiful bill” from congress. The reason more wasn’t done when Trump stepped in immediately is also why the first step in restarting the process was just announced. It’s all about the money. The Biden-backed spending bills approved by a Democrat-controlled senate at the time didn’t include any money for border wall construction...meaning that in order to finish the wall, congress must fund the wall. It’s not a coincidence that literally the day after the most recent congressional spending package was approved, the first border wall construction project of the second Trump administration was approved. In the continuing resolution that President Trump signed into law over the weekend, congress increased Homeland Security’s funding by $485 million over the next six months – which will help with ICE operations including arrests and deportations but also for restarting the construction of the southern border wall. There’s only so much that can be achieved through a six-month continuing resolution. In the meantime, while we wait for the bill that’s said to be aesthetically pleasing, it’s good to see that the Trump administration was able to get started on what it’s ready to finish at our southern border. Entering the second Trump administration, 54% of the southern border had some form of barrier (the wall or natural/impassible). That leaves approximately 897 miles of border wall to go.
