Today’s entry: Hi Brian Why is no one talking about the fact that this kid was indoctrinated online by Antifa? Those messages and song lyrics are obvious and in our faces. Who was he talking to on Discord about where he hid the rifle? Why are they not asking these questions?

Bottom Line: While many theories and narratives pertaining to the motivation and radicalization of Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, have quickly been debunked...one that’s been gaining traction as the investigation advances is a potential connection to Antifa. That’s the radical left-wing group which proclaims to be combating fascism and that has been linked to numerous violent acts in recent years. These developments have prompted President Trump to suggest he’s considering designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization.

When asked about it earlier this week the president said: Well it’s something I would do. I would do that 100% and others also by the way, Antifa is terrible. The president also indicated there could be more in store for terror designations than just Antifa: There are other groups, we have some pretty radical groups and they got away with murder. I’ve been speaking to the Attorney General about bringing RICO against some of the people you’ve been reading about that have been putting millions and millions of dollars for agitation.

Notably, President Trump first stated that the U.S. would be designating Antifa as a terror organization during his first administration. On May 31st, of 2020, at onset of the George Floyd riots Trump tweeted: The United States of America will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization. That never happened, in part because there was a debate about whether the president could legally make the designation against a domestic decentralized group. We’ll see what comes out of the president’s comments this time.

The four engravings found on bullet casings recovered from the murder weapon were these:

  • Hey fascist! Catch!
  • O Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Ciao, Ciao: An Italian Anti-Fascist Song – which translated means “goodbye beautiful” from World War II which was also used in the Netflix series Money Heist
  • If you read this, you are gay LMAO
  • Notices bulges OwO what’s this? (With arrow symbols): An online reference commonly used in LGBTQ circles in reference to a man’s crotch and in “furry” roleplaying (where people dress up as animals). The arrows replicated those used in the online game Helldivers 2

In attempting to infer whether Tyler Robinson is a member of Antifa or perhaps was radicalized by them, the song reference would be the biggest clue of the four. O Bella Ciao has been adopted and widely used by Antifa in sponsored events including marches, protests and demonstrations. Also, seemingly of significance, Antifa members destroyed Turning Point USA’s student setup on the UC Davis campus on May 3rd of this year. As Robinson’s online records are reviewed the potential Antifa link, should it exist, will likely be uncovered and could prove to be the impetus used by the Trump administration for a terror designation for the radical decentralized organization.

As for what was disseminated on Discord... Here’s what we know. Robinson sent Discord messages to his roommate (and partner) detailing how he had hidden a rifle after the shooting. These messages, from a Discord account named "Tyler," described retrieving the rifle from a prearranged "drop point," wrapping it in a towel, concealing it in bushes near the suspected escape route, and monitoring the area. They also referenced engraving bullets, adding a unique scope to the rifle, and changing outfits to evade detection.

The roommate showed investigators screenshots of these messages, which matched physical evidence: a Mauser .30-caliber bolt-action rifle wrapped in a dark towel, found in woods along the escape path, along with a spent cartridge and three engraved rounds. Additionally, Robinson reportedly confessed to the shooting in a larger Discord group chat (about 30 members) hours before his arrest on September 12, 2025, stating, "Hey guys, I have bad news... It was me at UVU yesterday. I’m sorry... surrendering soon." The FBI is investigating potential accomplices from the chats, but authorities believe Robinson acted alone. Discord suspended his account for violating their off-platform behavior policy.

The key to this conversation is that based on all that we currently know, all this disclosure took place after the assassination and just prior to turning himself in. Now, there’s a considerable conversation to be had about why it is that seemingly none of the 30+ people who evidently received this information contacted authorities with it, at least that we’ve been told. We’ll see what the investigation holds in that regard going forward.
