Local Leaders, Businesses & Non-Profits Help Hurricane Maria Evacuees

A group of county leaders, businesses and non-profits calling themselves "Palm Beach County Cares," is preparing for an influx of evacuees from Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria.

More than a hundred students who were affected by the storm have so far been enrolled in Palm Beach County's public schools, with more than half coming from the U.S. territory.

Palm Beach County Cares is trying to raise $5 million in five weeks to help evacuees get back on their feet.
