The city of Boynton Beach is a step closer to joining Lake Worth as the only municipalities in Palm Beach County to allow medical marijuana dispensaries.
Tuesday night's first vote by the city commission was approved by a 3 to 2 tally. The final vote will be taken next month.
Several cities have already voted against allowing the dispensaries, including Delray Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and Royal Palm Beach.
There are already two dispensaries set to open in Lake Worth.
