Important headlines for January 18th:

Important headlines for January 18th:

Bottom Line: These are stories you don't want to miss and my hot takes on them...

Excerpt: Apple says the new tax law will help it contribute $350 billion to the U.S. economy over the next five years.

It says it will create 20,000 new jobs and open a new campus.

Apple expects to pay about $38 billion in taxes for the horde of cash it plans to bring back to the United States.

Hot Take: Any questions? And btw, how is it that every single federally elected Democrat can have the audacity to stand in opposition to this law that's providing the best economic boost in 32 years – can continue to lie, continue to oppose the President's agenda, sleep at night and have the same media which lacks any integrity support their narratives. Every single federally elected Democrat stands on the wrong side of American history. Whether in the media or at the ballot box remember who has credibility and who lacks it. Any of it. I've never witnessed or studied an entire party so definitively on the wrong side of history since the Democrats were on the wrong side of slavery and the civil war. Btw, there's a pattern here. One that's a couple hundred years old.

Excerpt: First, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus told Miami Republican Carlos Curbelo he couldn’t crash the all-Democrat group. Now, they’ve made their allegiances even clearer.

On Wednesday, the caucus’ political arm threw its support to Curbelo’s Democratic challenger, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, a potential source of campaign cash as she seeks to unseat Curbelo, a prolific fundraiser himself who enjoys the support of some local Democrats.

Hot Take: Proof positive the Hispanic Caucus is a fraud that's comprised completely of bigots. While the now demonstrably bigoted caucus hides behind the "Hispanic" label, they're clearly not interested in Hispanics that don't share their world-view. If Debbie Powell were altruistic in her desire to specifically advance the needs of Hispanics - she'd call for the caucus to accept Carlos into the caucus as long as he's the district's representative.

As a refresher for those who aren't clear on was a bigot is...

big·ot

ˈbiɡət/

noun

  • a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions.

  • "don't let a few small-minded bigots destroy the good image of the city"

Carlos is Hispanic so the only other possible reason for this outcome is bigotry.

Excerpt:  Man, this is funny. The Drive-Bys don’t know what to do. They don’t know which story to lose their minds over first today. Bannon talking to Mueller or Trump’s physical and the fact that he’s in better shape than 90% of the media. He’s gonna outlive 90% of the media, it really ticks ’em off. They don’t know what to focus on first.

Hot take: The simple brilliance of the master in action. Rush made excellent points in his opening monologue yesterday but I wanted to go in a slightly different direction off of the premise of that excerpt. If you turn on CNN on any given day what do you expect these days? How about MSNBC?

While I'm unapologetically a limited government fiscal conservative I'm relentlessly analytical. It's why for example I shared with you just yesterday my first mid-term elections update telling you that based on history and current data Democrats would retake control of Congress. As I say there are two sides to every story but just one side to facts. Part of the pursuit takes me everywhere information is always. As a listener to the Important and Hysterical headline segments you have a view into my world. I read more material from those with opposing points of view than those I agree with and you'll hear me cite good, credible, material from any source that provides it. But back to the CNN and MSNBC questions. For most of my life I watched CNN for breaking news because they were the best at it in my opinion. From the late 90's through the mid-part of the 2000's I watched more MSNBC - especially Chris Matthews - than Fox News. That ship has sailed. Why, because you know what you're going to get. Incessant negative coverage on Donald Trump. The only question is what's the topic today? There's no desire to get to the truth. There's a desire to leave no stone, angle or potentially made up story/sources unturned in the unrelenting effort. These from the same people who kissed the throne of Barrack Obama gleefully sharing the lies of "shovel ready jobs" with your money, your healthcare savings and increased healthcare choices with the ACA and how crappy YouTube videos incited terror attacks. In other words, so many in media today lack any credibility. And remember that as you look at your paychecks going forward because you'll see how they lied to about the impact of President Trump's tax reform too.

Until tomorrow...
