Trending – Parkland Shooting Survivor In Delray For Gun Safety Meeting

One of the survivors of the Parkland school shooting was on hand for a gun safety meeting in Delray Beach last night, where Congresswoman Lois Frankel met with students, teachers and community members to talk about the pros and cons of the public safety act that Governor Rick Scott signed into law.  17-year old Cameron Kasky is one of the founders of the "#NeverAgain" movement.  He says the new law is a good first step, but he is not impressed...especially about the program that allows some non-classroom teachers to carry guns on campus.

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Ban assault weapons. Do not arm teachers.

These are the demands from local high school students at Monday night’s town hall meeting. Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21) hosted the gun safety meeting at Old School Square, where students, teachers and community members talked about the pros and cons of the school safety gun law just signed by Gov. Rick Scott.
