Hysterical Headlines (Funny or Absurd) for March 20th

Bottom Line: These are the daily doses of nonsense in the media and my hot takes on them...

Hot Take: Thank you! Finally, if only by accident it seems there's a conversation about what the definition of is, is or the gun control version of that notion. Ever since Valentine's Day we've had the cry of many to ban assault weapons. My question to every person who's posed this to me has been the same. What's an assault weapon to you? The reason is three-fold

1. Do you actually know what you're talking about or are you just joining a chorus of gun control

2. To gain an honest assessment of where people stand - If it's an AR-15 state so, if it's more to you be honest that way as well so we can have an honest and open conversation about what you're advocating

3. To attempt to separate those seeking incremental steps to the eventual elimination of the 2nd Amendment. In the depths of gun control research prior to Parkland 28% of adults actually would ban the ability to own a firearm if they could. That's a big number and yet you don't hear that argument being advanced as part of the current gun control movement. Why? Is it really that those currently advocating for the "assault weapons" ban are really just posers looking to get what they can before trying for more the next time tragedy strikes?

To point out the extent of the absurdity of calling for "assault weapons" bans I've pointed out that knives are used to kill three times more people than all rifles combined per year. If someone is truly looking to ban assault weapons we should be centered on knife control first. If that strikes you the wrong way - it's time to open your mind to information over emotion alone.

Hot Take: March 19th, 2018. The day someone at CBS realized that maybe President Trump is possibly legitimate. Isn't that special. After all, if you voted for Trump - you didn't really vote for him, did you? The Russians made you do it!

Hot Take: March 19th, 2018 the day someone writing for USA Today advised Democrats to move on from Hillary Clinton. Isn't that special as well.

Until tomorrow...
