When half of your political opponents endorsing you is a bad thing?

Hysterical Headlines (Funny or Absurd) for June 12th  When half of your political opponents endorsing you is a bad thing

Bottom Line: Your daily doses of nonsense in the media and my takes on them...

Excerpt: Gov. Rick Scott announced Monday that 55 out of the 67 sheriffs in Florida are endorsing his run for U.S. Senate. Neither Broward Sheriff Scott Israel or Palm Beach County Ric Bradshaw were on the list. Also missing was Miami-Dade director of police Juan Perez.

Hot Take: Not that I think it especially matters but it's probably more notable that nine Democrats are among those sheriffs who've endorsed Governor Rick Scott. And leave it to Rick Scott to earn an endorsement of 82% of the state's sheriffs yet have it framed as failure. What's most impressive is that Rick Scott netted the support of 47% of Florida's Democratic sheriffs. You'll never see it framed that way in South Florida media (aside from me).

Btw, aside from the fact that Sheriff Israel is under investigation from the state and that might be kind of odd if he attempted to endorse the Govenor anyway... Let's say Bill Nelson nets the Israel endorsement. Think Bill runs around touting the Scott Israel support?

Hot Take: Yes, that's the apology and related De Niro story that merits coverage, right? South Florida deserves an apology from the Sentinel. It deserves something that resembles journalism from the 2nd largest news organization.

Hot Take: Lol, in that case you might want to tell team Muller because after more than a year they haven't produced any but I'm sure at Vox you know stuff he doesn't.

Until Tomorrow...
