  • Governor DeSantis announced Florida’s obtained $75 million in federal funding for Florida’s agriculture industry as part of Irma relief for the citrus industry.
  • Governor DeSantis will sign the “Sanctuary Cities” legislation into law today. It mandates full compliance with ICE detainer requests for all governments in Florida and requires detained individuals lacking status to be reported to ICE for processing
  • The Democrat’s debate field for the Miami debates has been set. The four Democrats who failed to qualify are Steve Bullock, Mike Gravel, Seth Moulton and Miramar’s Wayne Messam
  • Florida’s Supreme Court ruled in favor of FPL’s solar-energy program, approved by Florida’s Public Service Commission. A legal challenge brought against the plan argued it’d be too expensive and that customers would be left picking up the tap for inefficiencies
