  • All South Florida Congressional Democrats, Reps. Deutch, Frankel, Hastings, Murcarsel-Powell, Shalala and Wasserman Schultz are backing the House’s impeachment inquiry into the Trump administration.
  • After calling on Americans to stop buying products that are made in China, Senator Rick Scott is calling on the State Department to be more transparent in providing travel warnings for Americans in China. He said those warnings are “buried” on its website. 
  • The initial recommendations from Florida’s recently established Blue-Green Algae Task Force will be released as early as today. Governor DeSantis is expected to use recommendations from the group along with guidance from Florida’s recently appointed Chief Science officer, Thomas Frazer, to craft policy.
  • Governor DeSantis finished the establishment of the Florida Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission which was established to recognize the 100-year anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution enabling women to vote. 11 women are on the Commission and Lt. Governor Jeanette Nunez is the chair of the commission.
