  • Former Spanish River High School Principal, William Latson was fired by a 5-2 vote of the Palm Beach County School Board. This after having been “reassigned” since June after details of his refusal to accept the Holocaust as fact last year emerged. The two dissenters were Debra Robinson and Barbara McQuinn
  • The Palm Beach County school district is also opening a formal inquiry into the vaping epidemic in schools. Two law firms, one based in Missouri and the other in Winter Park, have been tapped to explore potential legal action against Juul.
  • FPL announced an updated solar plan that will add 30 million solar panels to Its power grid over the next decade. Based on the current plan FPL would become the 2nd largest producer of solar power nationally by 2023.
  • Brightline confirmed it will move forward with its plans to build a station at PortMiami. Construction will begin next year and is scheduled to be completed by 2022. Once the Orlando project is completed, with PortMiami, they’ll be 170 miles connected via Brightline.
