Officials Say Thieves Stole City-Owned Trucks, May Impersonate Workers

Lake Worth Beach officials have a warning for residents and business owners after two of the city's vehicles were stolen from city-owned property.

The two white Chevy Silverado pickup trucks were stolen Wednesday night and officials warn that the people in those vehicles are not city employees, but may attempt to pretend to be in order to carry out more crimes.

All city employees carry an employee badge with their picture, so if in doubt, you're asked to request to see that badge.

City officials also urge the public to call 911 if they see or are approached by someone driving one of those trucks with one of these two license plate numbers: XA0826 or ZZ9427.
