Capping Asses at the Border & Impeaching Merrick Garland - Top 3 Takeaways

Capping Asses at the Border & Impeaching Merrick Garland - Top 3 Takeaways – June 28th, 2023

  1. We’ll put a cap in your ass it’s the new southern border way. With Independence Day less than a week away I’m reminded that as Toby Keith once sang “we’ll put a boot in your ass it’s the American way”. And while Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue was inspired by our country’s response to 9-11, my top takeaway was inspired by reading through the border policy and listening to the presser of our governor, who at this time last year had his own tune, in the form of the Van Zant’s Sweet Florida. DeSantis’ plan to Stop The Invasion, as its entitled, is the most comprehensive I’ve seen advanced by a politician to date, and as my top takeaway suggests, is the most punitive to those abusing our southern border to date. Quoting DeSantis when asked about the use of lethal force at the southern border... Of course you use deadly force. If the cartels are cutting through the border wall, trying to run product into this country, they’re going to end up stone-cold dead as a result of that bad decision. And if you do that one time, you are not going to see them mess with our wall ever again. Well, literally in the case of the stone-cold dead ones. And who is it that will be capping some asses at the southern border? Not just the Border Patrol, but the same armed forces Toby Keith sang the Angry American song to overseas in 2002. Part of DeSantis’ plan is to deploy our armed forces to the southern border, not for the purpose of processing illegal immigrants, but for the purpose of eliminating them (in some cases literally), from our southern border. Now as many in news media have entered the full on freak out mode over the idea of “deadly force” being used at our southern border (which is ironic given that it’s done daily with those trafficked over it) by those who DeSantis is focused on stopping one way or another – I couldn’t help but to feel like the deployed troops Toby would sing to by the time he got to that line... I wanted to stand up and clap. Because that’s what effective leaders do to end a crisis. They lead. And who doubts that dead traffickers wouldn’t result in fewer of them? Again, quite literally but also in terms of sheer numbers attempting to do so. And how many people doubt that there will be fewer border crossers literally, but also in attempting, if our military is deployed alongside our Border Patrol defending our border sending all comers back until the border wall is finally fully built? So, traffickers, to be clear, if Ron DeSantis becomes president – we'll put a cap in your ass, it’ll be the new southern border way. As DeSantis says... they’ll be No Excuses.
  2. What a difference having a strong speaker makes. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who has now said he supports legislation expunging former President Donald Trump of both of his impeachments, sounds serious about impeaching not the current president, but the Attorney General. Quoting McCarthy in speaking about the Biden Crime Family Whistleblower allegations, If the whistleblowers' allegations are true, this will be a significant part of a larger impeachment inquiry into Merrick Garland's weaponization of DOJ. If it comes true what the IRS whistleblower is saying, we're going to start impeachment inquiries on the attorney general. Now let me ask you, would Paul Ryan have ever made a push to expunge Trump of his impeachments while publicly seeking to impeach Merrick Garland should he be proved to be corrupt? Would John Boehner? The most recent whistleblower revelations are about the US Attorney, David Weiss, who just arranged for a sweetheart deal with Hunter Biden. The claims are that Weiss wasn’t the “deciding official” in regard to bringing charges, as AG Merrick Garland has repeatedly stated. That Weiss wasn’t able to bring charges to a federal court of his choosing, as Merrick Garland has repeatedly stated, and it includes a nugget in which Weiss asked for special-counsel status which would have allowed him greater investigative ability once Weiss uncovered extensive illegal activity by Hunter Biden that ties in with his father’s influence and actions, but that his request was rejected by Merrick Garland. If any one of just those three claims happen to be true...
  3. Merrick Garland would have perjured himself before congress in addition to having obstructed justice while leading that department. In early January, during the heated debate about Kevin McCarthy’s record, I made the case for him by doing what I do. Breaking down the facts. As I outlined: During President Trump’s four years in office here’s the voting record of Kevin McCarthy compared to Trump’s position on the issues: 97.3%. In other words, the distance between McCarthy and Trump was only 2.7%. If Trump is viewed as a conservative barometer, and anti-establishment, that’s a highly compelling case for McCarthy. In fact, by way of comparison, there’s not a single active member of the Florida Republican delegation which served at least one full two-year term in the House with Trump as president that had a more conservative voting record. To further illustrate the point... Ron DeSantis’ voting record through Trump’s first two years in office, prior to becoming governor, was 94.3%. Yes, McCarthy’s voting record was 3% more conservative than Ron DeSantis’. So yes, what a difference having a strong speaker makes. James Comer is doing his job as McCarthy has tasked him and his committee to do, and it appears McCarthy stands ready to do his when the evidence is ready, and the time comes.
