Letting Israel Do What Needs to Be Done & Florida’s #1 - Top 3 Takeaways

Letting Israel Do What Needs to Be Done & Florida’s #1 - Top Three Takeaways – October 20th, 2023

  1. The stomach to do what needs to be done. Let’s say for a moment your next-door neighbor is a hateful person with a large hateful family who has publicly declared that you and your family’s destruction is their goal in life and that your house, your property, should really be theirs. I know, not exactly the most comfortable thought, is it? But then again what’s behind this hypothetical question is anything but a comfortable situation. Let’s continue. Let’s say that you have a large family get together at your home and the aforementioned neighbor brutally attacks members of your family in unimaginable ways and takes others hostage. What’s the appropriate response? What’s the appropriate end game? Is there any scenario under which you’d think it could possibly be acceptable for that neighbor to remain in place and allowed to live freely? If justice isn’t served inside of a week or two, should you just give up on pursuing it and go back to attempting to live your life as though it never happened? The purpose of this obviously absurd and perhaps uncomfortable hypothetical analogy is that it’s anything but hypothetical for Israel. It’s anything but hypothetical for thousands of families. Since 2006 a designated terrorist organization, Hamas, has led the Palestinian territories. The same terrorist organization which in its charter, in 1988, stated: The Islamic Resistance Movement is a distinguished Palestinian movement, whose allegiance is to Allah, and whose way of life is Islam. It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine. Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it. Palestine is an Islamic land... Since this is the case, the Liberation of Palestine is an individual duty for every Moslem wherever he may be. The day the enemies usurp part of Moslem land, Jihad becomes the individual duty of every Moslem. In the face of the Jews' usurpation, it is compulsory that the banner of Jihad be raised. so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement... Those conferences are no more than a means to appoint the infidels as arbitrators in the lands of Islam... There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad. Now, given that this is Hamas’ charter...given that Hamas has carried out the greatest atrocities against the Jewish people since the Holocaust...given that Hamas remains the next-door neighbor of Israel and has made clear that they don’t believe in ceasefires or peaceful solutions...what’s the only actual solution here? It’s easy for those who’re far removed from Israel to talk about the need for peace, to call for a cease-fire. It’s easy for many to look the other way when their actual neighbors here at home openly support “the Palestinians” which are governed by choice, by Hamas. Back to the analogy for a moment. Imagine neighbors throughout your neighborhood openly expressing support for your hostile neighbor following the attack – emboldening their ambitions to destroy your family and to take your property. There is no distinction here. This is what the real-world situation is for Israel. It’s Hamas that started this fight, it’s Hamas that’s stated Israel has no right to exist. It’s Hamas that says there’s no peace. Simply stated they’re pure evil. And all who support it in this country or anywhere around the world flatly supports pure evil. And the reason my top takeaway today is an elaboration on something most in this audience already know is because this world must have the stomach to allow Israel to do what needs to be done. Which means that regardless of the reporting, regardless of the brutality, regardless of the horrors of war that will doubtlessly emerge, we as a society, must remain strong in our support of Israel. And in terms of how long this conflict will likely be...
  2. 6 to 8 months. That’s the estimate of how long it’ll take for the Israeli Defense Force to eliminate Hamas according to the former IDF Gaza Division commander. And quoting him the war can not end until: Hamas is utterly beaten… and Gaza demilitarized. From Afghanistan to Taiwan to Ukraine and now Israel...President Biden’s weakness on the world stage evidenced by his willingness to negotiate with terrorists like the Iranians has made the world less safe. It’ll be a year until we can vote to course and fix that issue. And the getting there is likely to be rough. Standing strong for and with Israel is important for Israel to win this war. It’s important to potentially ward off others as well. For almost three years bad actors around the world have had their way with President Biden. What we’ve seen and the world’s sudden instability are the result. The next 6 to 8 months are critical for Israel to win their war and for the rest of the world if there’s to be geopolitical stability. If we don’t stand with Israel until the job is done there will be much more aggression to come for all of us.
  3. Florida’s #1...in a lot of ways actually which is a nice reality to have. At the end of yet another heavy news week my third takeaway today is about a new study showing that Florida’s the most entrepreneurial state in the country and generally for the best possible reasons. As an entrepreneur in a former life, it makes my heart sing to see people make their dreams a successful reality. And there’s now more of that happening here than anywhere else in the world. The study conducted by The Digital Project Manager found that Florida’s not only the top state in the country for entrepreneurs but that our “Entrepreneurial Index Score” which considers data across eight categories is 10% higher than the second most entrepreneurial state. As they stated in their summation: Floridians clearly have an entrepreneurial mindset that not only benefits themselves, but also their communities through the jobs that they create. Florida has the highest percentage of the population that has started a business (0.61%). Of those, 86% started their venture out of choice rather than necessity, i.e., because they were unemployed or required another stream of income. These start-ups have the highest number of jobs created in the first year with 6.53 new jobs per 1,000 people. With 13,238 small businesses per 100,000 people, this is the most in any state. Florida has more dreams becoming a reality and more jobs and opportunities being created than anywhere else. Our state’s story is a great one that keeps getting better.
