Islamophobia, Palestinian Realities & Time Changes - Top 3 Takeaways

Islamophobia, Palestinian Realities & Time Changes - Top 3 Takeaways – November 3rd, 2023

  1. Biden’s Islamophobia Plan? Sorry Bub it is still about Islam. The Biden Administration's decision to create an Islamophobia task force is special even for Joe Biden. In announcing a “national strategy” to combat Islamophobia the administration stated it was necessary to: counter the scourge of Islamophobia and hate in all its forms. Now, there’s only one issue with this. Two actually. A) According to the FBI Hate Crime database, only 17.3% of hate crimes are related to one’s religion. And what percentage of religious hate crimes in this country were directed at Muslims you might ask? 9%. And what religion was/is, by far, the most likely to be the target of an attack? Jewish – with over a third of all religious hate crimes. And that was before Hamas’ terror attack on Israel and the antisemitic mobs in this country regularly and publicly directing hate at those of the Jewish faith. So, to be clear, what the Biden Administration's priority is, is to create a task force to address “Islamophobia”, which accounts for only 9% of the cause of 17% of the hate crimes. Oh, and that not so-coincidently is the religion which is currently projecting hate at what was already the largest group of hate crime victims in this country. You can’t make this stuff up. And here’s the thing. I’ve said it for over twenty years. I’ve said it locally, I’ve said it nationally as recently as last Friday, this is still about Islam. As in Islam, is in fact a religion which includes texts that literally calls for the ambushing and beheading of its non-believers. That is, as a matter of fact, why for 1,500 years Islamists have chanted “god is great” while doing those things just as they did October 7th in Israel. Now despite that less than comfortable reality, and the fact that I’ve never been afraid to read directly from the Quran’s text so that people are crystal clear about the bigger issue here, I’m not Islamophobic nor do I or have I ever condoned that kind of behavior. As a Christian I’m called on to love my neighbor, not hate them because they might adhere to a religion, which when practiced strictly creates big time problems. As always there are two sides to stories and one side to facts. I stick with those. And for example, it’s a fact that most America Muslims support Islamic terrorism. That is to say that 58% of American Muslims recently polled in an accredited survey said they believe Hamas was justified in attacking Israel as part of their struggle for a Palestinian State. So now we have over half of American Muslims rooting for the destruction of Israel and the terroristic elimination of all Jews and Joe Biden’s move is to attempt to protect them from being victims of hate crimes? If it were your stated goal was to fail at doing the right things you couldn’t succeed more than President Biden. But of course, the motivation is entirely a political calculation as he’s concerned about losing the Muslim vote next year. Conversely there’s common sense and...
  2. Brian Mast nailed it. In the debate over Humanitarian aid funding for Gaza in the House, Congressman Brian Mast nailed it when he said... Any assistance should be slowed down — any assistance. Because I would challenge anybody in here to point to me, which Palestinian is Hamas, and which one is an innocent civilian? It should absolutely be every effort made to slow down any perceived assistance that’s going there. I would encourage the other side to not so lightly throw around the idea of innocent Palestinian civilians, as is frequently said. I don’t think we would so lightly throw around the term ‘innocent Nazi civilians’ during World War II. It is not a far stretch to say there are very few innocent Palestinian civilians. Now you might imagine that if 58% of American Muslims are supportive of Hamas the figure would be even higher for those who literally voted them into power over the Palestinian territories and you’d be right. As I recently covered 75% of Palestinians are supportive of sharia (Islamic) law under Hamas. This means, just as Mast implied, that there aren’t many innocent Palestinians. Most of the Palestinian people aren’t victims of Hamas, they’re the perpetuators of Hamas. And sending “humanitarian aid” into that territory is the equivalent of the Biden Administration releasing $6 billion in funds for “humanitarian aid” to Iran. First of all, we’re nearly $34 trillion in debt as a country, we don’t have the money. Second of all, even if we did, there’s pretty much nothing worse that we could do with it than to prop up Islamic terrorists. Predictably Mast is being called a racist and a bigot. The fact of the matter is that he nailed it.
  3. Mexico has made more sense than us for over a year. No, this isn’t a border crisis story. No this isn’t related to tequila, salsa or hot sauce either – although when I think about the topic, I’m about to talk about I’m inclined to want all three (along with the accompanying chips and burrito). But what this is about is time changes. How often do you find yourself thinking, gee if only we were doing what Mexico is doing, life would be better? A common political refrain for decades, when politicos have attempted to advance their points has been, look at what Europe is doing. Which, as an aside, and as I’m inclined to point out, is the exact antithesis of what we’re about in this country. We literally fought a revolution, so that we wouldn’t be doing what Europe was doing. But anyway, have you ever heard a politician say we need to be doing what Mexico is doing? Yet here we are, for over a year Mexico has making more sense than the United States on one of the most basic matters of life. Time. There’s never been a time in which there have been 363 days containing 24 hours with one checking in at 23 and another at 25. There have just been foolish politicians who made it so in this country. A practice so foolish almost no other country in the world still does it. It was just over a year ago Mexico abolished time changes as they realized the absurdity of doing so. It’s something we passed in Florida years ago but that has not been signed into law at the federal level. And so, as we go to change our clocks again Saturday night, with no end in sight...Mexico is making more sense than us. It’s time for our congress to finally make it stop.
