Google's search search results are being tweaked to steer "offensive" inquires:

Bottom Line: On the surface Google's new search system for "upsetting or offensive" searches would seem to be a positive. Google's intent is to take people who search for highly objectionable material to information that's more constructive.

They cited examples of human trafficking, child abuse and animal cruelty in which people would be better served by being taken to information about the evils of those activities rather than information and pictures that play into the behavior that might otherwise come up as being the most relevant for those searches. The problem can quickly become similar to what Facebook discovered with their news feed team last year. Political bias can easily enter the equation when algorithms that include subjectivity are involved.

I can safely say that my personal moral standards (I'm Catholic), are different than Google's espoused corporate culture. So with Google injecting their morality in their search results - you can see how politics could quickly enter the equation. Perhaps it's time to see what's up with Bing again?
