Bottom Line: Robert Half's latest research demonstrated that 2/3rd's of mid & small businesses aren't confident with hiring process. What's more is that once we've identified that we've made a bad hire the mistakes compound from there...

First 4 weeks the average company knows they've hired incorrectly

Retained for an additional 8 weeks before letting the bad hire go

Averages an additional 5 weeks to replace the bad hire

So it's clear that most organizations struggle with hiring generally and perhaps outsourcing the process might prove to be more effective. Regardless, doubling down on the bad decision really makes the overall situation much worse. Being decisive when you know you don't have a fit would clearly serve companies better than hanging on another couple of months.
