Acceptance rates for Florida colleges - the hardest to gain access to & average requirement to get in:

Bottom Line: Recently I've shared research demonstrating Florida's colleges are on average the 2nd best overall value in the country. As you might imagine - that drives a lot of competition for access to many schools. This story looks at research from Niche.com which pulls several data points together to arrive at an overall rate of difficulty to access. Those considerations are...Acceptance rates and SAT/ACT score requirements. Here are the five most difficult colleges to access in Florida:

#5: Florida Southern College (Lakeland): Acceptance Rate - 44.8% & min 1040 SAT or 23 ACT generally required

#4: University of South Florida (Sarasota): - Acceptance Rate 33.9% & min 1030 SAT or 21 ACT score required

#3: University of South Florida (St. Petersburg): - Acceptance Rate 35.3% & min 1070 SAT or 24 ACT score required

#2: University of Florida (Gainesville): Acceptance Rate 45.6% & min 1170 SAT or 26 ACT score required

#1: University of Miami (Coral Gables): Acceptance Rate 38.2% & min 1220 SAT or 28 ACT score required

*There are exceptions to the test scores (but lower scores would be outlier's based on non-typical factors)
