Taste testers ranked tap water of multiple bottled water brands - What's best and what's tapped out...?
Bottom Line: Bottled water has been a huge business that just keeps getting bigger. Specifically as we've been cutting back on soda consumption we've been dramatically ramping up our bottled water intake. If you drink a lot of bottled water - you most likely have your preferences. With that in mind a recent taste test was conducted of the leading bottled water brands and the tap...there were really interesting results in the testing conducted by Bernstein.
Top two brands tested:
Smartwater & Dasani
The bottom two tested:
Fiji & Evian
What's especially notable about the poor performance of Figi and Evian is that they both fared worse than...the tap. So before you pay up for bottled water you might try what's readily available around you rather than opting for a bottle (though in Palm Beach County I'd make sure the tap water is at least filtered before opting for it...).
