From The Southern Border to South Florida - Top Three Takeaways

From The Southern Border to South Florida - Top Three Takeaways – March 14th, 2024

  1. Don’t think for a minute that what happens at the Mexican Border doesn’t affect us here. You know it. I know it. The woman who was horrifically raped alongside John Prince Park Monday by three illegal immigrants most certainly knows it. Yesterday, Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said it. In discussing the arrests of three illegal immigrants from Guatemala, responsible for the abduction and sexual assault of a woman, Sheriff Bradshaw offered this in discussing the case: Don’t think for a minute that what happens at the Mexican Border doesn’t affect us here. Here you have three illegals that should have never been in this country that’ve committed a very serious crime. Kidnapping and sexual battery of a lady. They shouldn’t be here. This is the same thing that we saw when the student was killed by the person that was here illegally. That’s why we pay so much attention... Folks our border is the ocean. There’s no fence there. We are the fence. That why we spend so much time and dedicate so many resources to stopping people before they get here. In all likelihood these people came through Mexico. They didn’t come through here. I can tell you that for sure. But for them to be in this country and to be able to commit these types of crimes is unconscionable. The federal government has put the American people in jeopardy. Our intelligence specialist who works very closely with the FBI has also identified that the most dangerous gangs in the world are now in Miami. They came in from Venezuela. They make MS-13 look like school kids. They’re not going to stay just in Miami. They’re going to go where they need to go to do what they do. They don’t know if it’s Dade, Broward, Palm Beach County. And we’re going to have to deal with them. You know, forget about the three million people who came across the border, put their hands up to the Border Patrol and said “I give up”. You know they get the cell phone, the gift card and all of that kind of garbage. What about the 1.5 million people that they call gotaways? Those are the people that don’t want to get caught by Border Patrol because they’re cartels, they’re gang members, they’re wanted, they’re packing fentanyl. I watched a surveillance video that was taken down in Texas of ten guys, military age, dressed in camouflage, backpacks, they had carpet on their shoes so they didn’t leave footprints, in a military formation coming into the country. What do you think they’re here for? They’re not here to play the lotto! They’re going to do bad things. The director of the FBI testified that it’s not a matter of if, but a matter of when we’re going to have something bad happen around here. Because of the 1.5 million gotaways, he’s worried that they’re people from ISIS, people from the terrorist watchlist that could be in the United States. Our agency is still the lead agency for Homeland Security for all of South Florida and every three months we have a meeting to make sure that we’re going to be operationally ready for whatever might happen here in South Florida. But people have to pay attention. We need the help of the public also. Our program of if you know something or see something say something is very important now. So if you see something you don’t think is right, especially with human trafficking, because there’s 85,000 kids that came across the border...The human traffickers are the ones who will prey on those people. And we’ve made those cases here in South Florida. But my message is don’t be complacent because what is happening at the Mexican border is going to affect us. And obviously it already is. When asked, Sheriff Bradshaw went on to say that in his 52 years in law enforcement this is the worst he’s ever seen it. Quoting him once again. It's unconscionable that the federal government has let this happen. These idiots in Washington D.C. need to close this border. In order for this mess to get cleaned up they’ve got to stop what’s coming across the border and it can be done. Truer words have not been spoken.
  2. President Biden could end the madness today by reinstating the Trump executive orders on border policy that he rescinded on day one of his administration. Every day it’s a choice by him not to. Every day it’s a choice to keep our southern border open which leads to the murder of innocent women like Laken Riley and the raping of innocent women like the victim near John Prince Park (and who knows what would have happened to her had she not eventually been able to escape). The Biden administration is more interested in clarifying the president’s use of the term “illegal” during the State of the Union Address (to describe the illegal immigrant who murdered Laken Riley), then they are in addressing the crisis. As Biden most recently said... I shouldn't have used illegal, I should've… It's undocumented. The president is more concerned about apologizing for calling an illegal immigrant who murdered an innocent student “an illegal”, than he is fixing the problem. Think about how sick one must be and how little one must care about any potential victim in society for that to be the concern. But independent of the even the victims we know about, what Sheriff Bradshaw’s words also are a reminder of is what our law enforcement agencies are up against every day because of Biden’s open border as well. I’ve said it for years and it’s worth repeating again. Every day that Joe Biden is President of the United States we’re less safe. It’s sadly proven time and again. Speaking of border safety...
  3. What’s happening in Haiti isn’t staying in Haiti. Amid what’s effectively a collapse of the Haitian government to gangs and cartels we’ve already begun to see a surge of Haitian migrants attempting to make their way into South Florida. On Wednesday Governor DeSantis deployed over 250 members of the Florida State Guard and law enforcement agencies to South Florida to address the influx. In doing so, DeSantis said: Illegal immigrants feel empowered to enter the sovereign territory of the United States because of the federal government's refusal to diligently enforce our immigration laws and protect the integrity of the border. When a state faces the possibility of invasion, it has the right and duty to defend its territory and people. Well, thank God for DeSantis. Just imagine where we’d be if in addition having Joe Biden as President of the United States, if Tallahassee's favorite bisexual meth head, Andrew Gillum, was governor of Florida. Elections have consequences. We’re paying for 2020’s consequences daily. But this is also a reminder about how important all elections are and why it’s important to inform yourself and to vote in Tuesday’s municipal elections if you have them in your community.
