Today doesn't just mark the start of a new month, it also marks the start of the Greater Ft. Lauderdale Restaurant Months and Miami Spice. From now until the end of September, South Florida foodies can get 3-course gourmet meals at participating restaurants at discounted prices. There are 64 restaurants participating in Broward and 250 in Miami-Dade. Bill Talbert-President of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau-says they started Spice 18 years ago to help restaurants deal with the summer slump, but thanks to increased tourism they don't have a slump anymore,they do it to thanks residents and tourists.
